You may have noticed that I not only suggest an anti virus program but also a registry cleaner. After the antivirus programs are run it is a good idea to "clean" the registry. The registry is a complex file that loads the configuration instructions for MicroSoft Windows when it first starts after being rebooted. It can get cluttered with "lint" which can take a lot of time while the computer is looking for non-existent programs.
