The Reasons?

Do the Vantreights require the development to save the farm or is it effectively a subsidy from the residents of Central Saanich to allow one brother to buy out another brother?
- A number of persons heard Ian Vantreight say at a council meeting that he was a wealthy person he did not need the development for the money. How is that statement to be reconciled with his current plea that he needs the money to save the family farm?
- Part of the pressure to subdivide land is because of conflicts between urban homes and farms. This development increases this interface. Far from saving farms the development will increase the pressure.
